Its tough. Its tough working keeping an exercise regiment when shopping for a home, a freak snow fall in Savannah and spending quality time with family that was in town for the weekend. I managed the house hunting and family time well but the exercising suffered greatly.
I did manage to hike with Isabella at the dairy farm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And, each of those days we walked several miles. That’s better than nothing, I guess. This evening I squeezed in 45 minutes on the elliptical while watching 28 days later.
Hopefully, tomorrow I will have more of a regular workout routine. I miss running and believe it or not, I miss working out at the gym. Tomorrow, I will workout at the gym plus run a few miles around the Y area. I will also be in contact with my realtor too, I’m sure. She seems to think I should go for a town house she showed me on Saturday that’s pretty nice. Its a new development in a gated community with with access to the Vernon River. Its nice, I’ll admit but I just do not feel very drawn to it. I have my eyes fixed on houses with some history.
I like old houses. What can I say. I love hardwood floors. I love how an old house feels so well-worn, like a comfortable pair of old cowboy boots. Nothing beats that.
I really like the little white house on Bonaventure and, the white house on east 54th street. The house on 54th is on a very quiet dead end street. All of the homes on that street look nice and tidy. Everyone there seems to take care of their yards. Its nice. There’s a house on east 39th that I like as well but I just don’t care much for the location. The house is nice, though. It has two full, fully renovated bathrooms, hardwood floors, kitchen is spacious and renovated with all new appliances and cabinets. It has a brand new water heater and a carport with a nice utility shed with windows. The fireplace is gas and has 3 bedrooms. Its a nice home at a very good price.
A close and dear friend told me that I would know which is the right house when I walk into it. She said, it will feel like home. That’s how you know. I haven’t walked into the Bonaventure home nor the 54th street home. Lets see if I feel that homey feeling when I do. I give myself until mid-March to make a decision on the home.
On the elliptical tonight I knocked out 2.21 elliptical miles and burned off 791 calories. My visits to the dairy farm this weekend were very exciting. I saw lots and lots of beautiful coastal birds. I love the dairy farm. Its so awesome there. Isabella loves it too. She and I paid our respects to Maccabee each day we went to the dairy farm.
That’s it for now.
Thanks for taking the time to read my running/house hunting blog.
All the best,
peace,
