Countdown to Tanzania: 3 Days

Three more days, wow.  It begins this Sunday.  Amazing and unbelievable still.  Today was my last day at work until March 23rd.  This will mark my longest vacation (and time off of work ever).  It’s going to be awesome.  I am so stoked.  It’s finally here.  It is surreal.

This afternoon I had lunch with Pat Canady.  She’s a very sweet lady that works in Montgomery Hall with me.  She is so excited for me.  So many people at work are so excited about this trip for me.  It truly touches my heart.  So, truly, as I embark on this adventure waiting to happen since childhood I carry many friends and family along with me every step of the way.  This trip, although, it has not actually begun is already becoming an amazing experience.  It’s all so good.

Tomorrow, I will tie up a few loose ends and then pack my two carry on bags – my backpack and my duffle bag/laptop carrying case.  Actually, the duffle bag is Steve Abrams’ killer Timbuk2 bag.  The rest of the weekend I just want to enjoy it leisurely with my good buddy, Mr. Gypsy.  I’m going to miss that little guy something intense.  I wish I could take him to Africa with me but there are too many critters there that would look at him as a walking hamburger.  Mr. Gypsy will be in good hands with Melissa.  Mr. Gypsy also has a crush on Melissa’s dog, Sally .  So, he’s going to be alright. 😉

Mr. Gypsy at the dairy farm this evening with me.

I have to call up Delta airlines tomorrow to confirm the flights and times.  Other than that, not much else to do regarding this trip.  I do want to wash and wax my car, though, but tomorrow, I’ve heard is supposed to be a rainy day, darn it.

Not much more to report.  I think I’m going to watch a movie on Netflix and drift off to sleep.

Thanks for stopping by.

All the best to you and yours.
