I ran 4.29 miles this evening in my blue bikilas. I didn’t run much more than that because I just want to keep it light until Friday, my big run day. Tomorrow, if it’s not raining after work I’m going for a 15 mile bike ride. On Friday, after taking Mr. Gypsy for a walk I’m cruising to the rails to trails and running 25 miles. It should be loads of fun.
I ran in Whitemarsh Island, starting at the Island’s ymca trail. I ran the Y trail and then hooked up with the Whitemarsh trail until it ended on Bryan Woods. I cruised up Bryan Woods for about twenty feet and then took a left on Stonebridge street and followed that road through a nice neighborhood until I connected with Mapmaker and then with Whitemarsh island drive. Whitemarsh island drive drained into Johnny Mercer blvd. Johnny Mercer took me back to the Island’s Y. I then went to Publix and bought a six pack of Land Shark beer, a container of Spanish sea salt, Vienna Fingers cookies, an ugly tomato and, a small container of starbuck’s ice cream (some kind of machiola or something flavor – it’s really good). I shop healthy.

Ok, I really need someone to crew me for the CrematorUltra 50! Anyone out there want spend a hot, muggy Saturday with a smelly, sweaty, grumpy runner in Hilton Head? All you have to do is make sure I have plenty of water and food and sun screen. Also, make sure I’m on the right path and meeting all of the deadlines. It’ll be loads of fun for you and I. After about 8 to 12 hours this silly race will be over and we can kick back and drink beer. It’ll probably be more like you enjoy a beer and I fall asleep on the side of some street. So, are you in? Cool.
