Thanksgiving Running and Walking

Talmadge Bridge viewed from Hutchinson Island

It’s been a good running week so far.  On Thanksgiving I met up at the Rails to Trails with a group of running friends at 7:00 and we knocked out mileage on a very chilly morning.  I ran almost 12 miles on Thursday, no miles on Friday and 5.6 miles today.  Also, Gypsy and I have been cranking out longer walks now that the weather is cooler.  Gypsy tends to have more walking energy in chillier weather.  Today, Gypse and I walked almost two miles!  That’s quite good for the Gypster!

Mr. Gypsy during our walk at Bonaventure Cemetery

Gypsy loves to go for walks but the heat does take his toll on him.  So, the majority of our daily walks are about a mile or slightly less.  Now, though, the distance is extending because of the weather.  Our walk today was through Bonaventure cemetery.  It was a very pleasant walk.  He was a very happy boy before, during and after the walk.  At the end of the walk, he was actually a tired but happy boy.

Our running group at the Gallery Espresso

This morning’s run started at the Gallery Espresso in downtown Savannah.  I met up with more running friends at 7:30 am.  We ran the Talmadge Bridge and then headed back to the Gallery Espresso for coffee, brownies and conversation.  It was a lot of fun!

Tomorrow’s run will be my neighborhood 2.72 mile loop.  I’ll crank that out 5 times.  It’ll be a chilly run.

Two pretty ladies I ran with on Thanksgiving day at the rtt.

You know, other than saying the obvious, which is that I ran Thursday and Saturday with a very fine group of people I don’t have much more to say.  It’s probably because I am so dang tired.  It’s been a very busy Thanksgiving holiday.  I’ve had loads of fun with family and friends.  Tomorrow will come and I’ll be reminded that I have a full week of work to look forward to.

Oh, here is a video I put together for the Ledesma Sports Medicine Rails to Trails Ultra.  It’s a cool video. Check it out! I think you’ll like it! This is going to be fun!

Life is good.

That’s it.

Thanks for stopping by.

All the best.
