Ok, I’m thinking that the last two bad runs I’ve had are due to medication that I’m on. I’ve been taking antibiotics (doxycycline) for the past seven days because of a tick bite on my right arm.
The tick bite welted up & looked nasty.
Anyway, I think that the doxycycline where it helps me in fighting off possible lyme disease, wears me down and, running in the heat exacerbates that weariness.
Maybe, I don’t know what I’m talking about but I think that I recall having a hard time running a few years ago while I was on antibiotics. And, when I was off of those meds I ran strong again.
Who knows?

So, what does the fortune cookie message have to do with yesterday’s muggy heavy run? I don’t know. I needed a picture to fill the top of the blog and had only taken two pictures yesterday and one was of Gypsy and the other was of the fortune I had in the cookie from the Asian restaurant I had lunch at yesterday.
So, there you have it. I just needed to fill up some space on my blog.

Funny, I feel that I’m the lucky one not only to have Gypsy but to have met such wonderful, caring people like you and Bill.
Gypsy is doing good. He’s a very happy boy.

Bill and I are so sorry to hear about the puppy. We feel as you do that people really need to start caring about their beautiful animals. Gypsy is sooooooo lucky to have you.

Dan, I really appreciated this entry as it made me think about and consider many things in my life as a mom to my three furry babies. I don’t think it’s too soon to look for another dog…we all have different needs and responses; what works for some, doesn’t for others. After my first cat lost his fight to cancer, it took me 7 months before I adopted another one. I wasn’t even “officially” looking for another one…it just felt right when I saw him. I’m sure it’ll feel right when you find your next dog.
ps – hope your leg heals quickly
