Atlanta got 4 to 8 inches of snow. Savannah got a buttload of rain with temperatures in the mid to upper thirties all day. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck! Needed to say it three times. So, what&#8217;s supercoolme to do when its just too nasty outdoors for me to run? I do the worse thing possible, &#8211; I run on a treadmill. But, not just run on a treadmill, I also kicked it hard on the weights. And, everybody and their grandmother was at the gym tonight. I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever seen the Island&#8217;s Y this packed. I had to wait about twenty minutes to get a treadmill. The wait was fine, though. I read. No better way to pass the time like reading, right? I don&#8217;t know. Reading works for me. So does sleeping, though. I worked out hard with weights and then ran 25 minutes on the treadmill.  At the end of my run I had logged 3.11 miles and supposedly burned off 379 calories.  That&#8217;s about half of the calories [...]]]></description>

<p>Seriously, working out indoors isn&#8217;t so bad.  I saw a few familiar faces  I had not seen so far this new year and, was able to catch up with them a bit.  Catching up with old friends is always good for the soul, eh?  Yeah, it is.</p>

<p>I saw Brian Welch there this evening, tearing it up on a treadmill, hooting and hollering every now and then.  No lie.  Brian can be kind of loud at times.  Tonight, was a loud gym night for him.  That dude is in great shape.  He&#8217;s the only 50-something year old that I know runs a 6:00 minute mile pace for a half marathon.  The dude&#8217;s an animal.</p>
<p>So, what type of exercises did I do?</p>
<ul>
<li>military press: 90 lbs, 3 sets of 10.</li>
<li>machine squats: 200 lbs, 4 sets of 12.</li>
<li>flat bench: 185, 195, 205, 210: 8, 7, 5, 4</li>
<li>leg extensions: 100 lbs, 3 sets of 12</li>
<li>leg curls: 100 lbs, 3 sets of 12</li>
<li>machine curls: 90 lbs, 3 sets of 10</li>
<li>machine rows: 100 lbs, 3 sets of 12</li>
<li>Incline situps: 4 sets of 15</li>
<li>crunch sled machine: 3 sets of 10 &#8211;&gt; this machine will hurt you!</li>
</ul>
<p>That&#8217;s about it for the weight lifting.  I then did the run.</p>
<p>Now, I&#8217;m sitting here with a growling stomach.  So, I&#8217;m heading to the kitchen and will not return until my stomach is happy.</p>
