Picture of the Day: "That's Ruf" and VFF's

Saturday was the Savannah Sidewalk Arts Festival 2011 in Forsyth Park and I was there with my vff’s and my dog named Mr. Gypsy.  As always, the Sidewalk Arts Festival was great.  The art was incredible.  Scad students are very, very talented artists.  I love this festival and haven’t missed it for the last five years.  It’s always so much fun walking around Forsyth Park checking out the chalk art and hanging out with friends and family.

My brother, David, participated in the sidewalk chalk art.  He chalked up a dragon.  I helped a little.  Ok, ok.  My part was incredibly minor but still, I did color in a little blue on the right hand lower corner of my brother’s flying dragon thing.  I accidently colored my right vff in blue chalk, I’m afraid.

The art work was so amazing but in the end one of the sidewalk art pieces has to be one’s favorite.  It’s a difficult choice, indeed, but the one you always return to is your favorite, I say.  So, pictured all the way at the top is my favorite of this year’s Sidewalk Arts Festival.  It was funny and the colors were vibrant.  And, the theme was of two cookies.  I love cookies.  Also, my right vff completed the picture, don’t you think?

Anyway, there you have it.  The Picture of the Day and why.  But, I’m also including other chalk art pieces in this blog because you have to see how awesome and talented the Scad student’s are.  Amazing artists, amazing work!
